Accessibility Statement
This statement was last updated on 22 January 2025.
We at Saije Social are working to make our site accessible to people with disabilities.
What web accessibility is
An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.
Accessibility adjustments on this site
We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines, and have made the site accessible to the level of AA standard. This site's contents have been adapted to work with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard use. As part of this effort, we have also:
-
Content Accessibility: Ensure all types of content, including PDFs, Word documents, images, videos, and audio files, are accessible. This involves providing alternative text for images, captions for videos, and transcripts for audio content.
-
Plain Language: Write content using clear and simple language, aiming for a reading level below grade 9, unless technical language is necessary. This practice enhances comprehension for a broader audience.
-
HTML First: Publish content in HTML format primarily and offer alternative formats when necessary. HTML is more adaptable to various assistive technologies, improving accessibility.
-
Digital Accessibility Plan: Develop a plan outlining how digital services will meet accessibility requirements, including regular testing of design, code, and content during development.
